TP 03: Smart decision-making and reflection systems in farming
In this project, we are eager to collaborate with companies offering innovative approaches in the storage and logistics of agricultural products, as well as academic institutions managing research in this area. We are also open to partnerships with companies specialized in sensor technology and data analytics, and startups providing innovative solutions to enhance the efficiency of storage processes.
Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University (TOGU), founded in 1992 in Tokat, Turkey, is a public higher education institution. It comprises 17 faculties, including the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture and the Faculty of Agriculture, along with 2 schools of higher education, 13 vocational schools, and one state conservatory. Additionally, it houses an agricultural research and application center, contributing to agricultural education, research, and service applications. TOGU is ranked 15th among state universities in Turkey and 352nd regionally in the AD Scientific Index 2022 Scientist and University Ranking, and 1092nd globally, with 53 faculty members among the "Top 10,000 researchers". In the 2021 UI Greenmetric world university rankings, TOGU ranked 256th globally, proving its strength among Turkish universities by ranking 14th. The university holds significant research in agriculture product storage and logistics. The Smart Storage Management project aims to utilize the university’s existing knowledge and research capacity in this field to improve the efficiency and quality preservation in the storage and management of agricultural products. TOGU plans to leverage its expertise in sensor technology, data analytics, and edge computing to contribute to the improvement of agricultural storage processes, integrating both academic and practical knowledge to play a significant role in preserving the quality of agricultural products and developing sustainable storage methods.
