TP 01: Use AI-systems (machine learning, deep learning and neural network approaches) to accelerate the digitisation in the agri-food sector
We are looking for a consortium to apply our expertise in high-performance sensors and embedded AI. This could include, for example, the development of in-ground sensors to automatically adjust irrigation based on intelligent predictions, solutions to monitor crop quality directly from farm machinery, or drones to apply biocontrol products and measure their effectiveness. We are particularly interested in processing of sensor data on the edge to make predictions and enable intelligent decision-making at the point of action - in an energy-efficient way and without the need for a cloud connection.
At Fraunhofer IMS, we specialize in cutting-edge research and development, focusing on high-performance sensors and embedded AI. Our goal is to apply this expertise to the food sector, covering every stage of the food chain, from farm to fork!
