Besides the women who are the most prominent witnesses of rural poverty, other women are most affected by this poverty and sometimes have to work in conditions that do not suit human dignity.
Female workers in seasonal agriculture are among the leading representatives of this group (MİGA, 2012:11). This research aims to describe how female actors face layered inequality within the scope of seasonal agricultural activities, how they are in a more disadvantaged position during seasonal migration processes, and what their health and social conditions are like despite the studies carried out. By considering different dimensions, this study aims to reveal that women are more affected than men in seasonal agricultural migration and to offer solution suggestions.
It is a project that includes training packages to ensure that seasonal migratory agricultural worker women acquire attitudes and protective behaviour in seeking their rights to ensure the well-being of their lives and health at risk due to their mobile/temporary living conditions. The fact that female seasonal agricultural workers working in a mobile or temporary position are under heavy responsibility in terms of their domestic roles as well as their farming activities, the observation that their workload increases unequally when the gender roles they encounter in daily life are added to their long working hours, inadequate conditions of accommodation and accommodation areas, The reasons for the project are that they cannot benefit from health services regularly, have poor hygiene, have a low socio-economic level, and work in uninsured and precarious conditions.
