TP 03: Smart decision-making and reflection systems in farming
This project aims to collaborate with environmental scientists, engineers, and researchers specialized in water quality monitoring and analysis. We also seek to partner with public institutions and NGOs that support the conservation and sustainable management of water resources. Additionally, we aim to establish partnerships with technology companies developing sensitive and innovative solutions for water quality issues.
Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University (TOGU), established in 1992 in Tokat, Turkey, is a public higher education institution. It has 17 faculties, including the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture and the Faculty of Agriculture, in addition to 2 schools of higher education, 13 vocational schools, and a state conservatory. It also hosts an agricultural research and application center contributing to agricultural education, research, and service applications. TOGU is ranked 15th among state universities in Turkey and 352nd regionally in the AD Scientific Index 2022 Scientist and University Ranking, and 1092nd globally, with 53 faculty members among the "Top 10,000 researchers". In the 2021 UI Greenmetric world university rankings, TOGU ranked 256th globally, demonstrating its strength among Turkish universities by ranking 14th. The university has a strong research and application background in environmental protection and sustainable agriculture. The Water Quality Monitoring project reflects TOGU's expertise in the conservation and management of water resources. TOGU plans to integrate IoT and edge computing technologies in this project, aiming to improve the quality and efficiency of agricultural water use. The university is committed to contributing to the sustainable management and conservation of water resources through this project.
