This project, founded on sustainability and green transformation principles, emphasizes green transformation ideals while focusing on product tracking and supply chain optimization. The main goal of our project is to establish effective tracking systems for products nearing their expiration dates, develop strategic and smart pricing methods to prevent food waste, and ensure the optimal distribution of products to minimize carbon emissions. The aim is to reduce food waste significantly at every stage of the product supply chain through a software-based decision support system, thereby minimizing the impacts on the ecosystem and carbon footprint. This contributes to both economic and ecological sustainability. Our project will utilize artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms for developing decision support systems. The use of these technologies has the potential to minimize human errors in supply chain management while automating business processes and making decision-making mechanisms more effective.
TAT GIDA is one of Türkiye’s biggest food company and was founded in 1967 in Türkiye. TAT GIDA has industrialist-producer collaborations, the devoted contribution of Turkish farmers, and a consumer-oriented and innovative company culture. We are leading brand of tomato paste, tomato products, canned food, and ketchup market. Our factories are in Bursa Mustafakemalpaşa and Karacabey and Izmir Torbalı. TAT GIDA processes 25% of Turkey's industry tomatoes also has an annual approximately processing capacity of 500 thousand tons of tomatoes.
TAT GIDA production technology research and development has been constructed in 2017 also TAT GIDA Information Technology Research and Development has been announced in 2023 and approximately 50 researchers totally work in both R&D centers. We are mainly working on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Image Processing, Stock Optimization, Data Analytics, Supply Chain Optimization Algorithms.
