TP 01: Use AI-systems (machine learning, deep learning and neural network approaches) to accelerate the digitisation in the agri-food sector
It is our intention to provide support for a project in the following areas:
- Natural language processing for information extraction, retrieval augmented generation in the context of the agricultural industry.
- Computer Vision, e.g. for extracting prices from documents
- Indoor navigation, e.g. for navigating large agricultural facilities such as greenhouses
It should be noted that we are open to considering other applications in the context of these topics.
At the Laboratory for Business Programming, situated within FH Aachen - University of Applied Sciences, our team comprises dedicated research assistants and doctoral students led by Prof. Dr. Bodo Kraft. Our focus lies in pioneering research and practical applications of cutting-edge AI technologies. Specifically, we delve into Natural Language Processing (NLP), encompassing projects ranging from innovative chatbots to language style generation, including simplified language formats. Additionally, our expertise extends to computer vision, where we excel in extracting pricing information from documents. Furthermore, we explore diverse topics such as indoor positioning systems and energy management, with a keen emphasis on harnessing and optimizing renewable energy resources.
